Project: Salmon Nursery - 20 x Concept Tanks™
Location: Port Huon, Tasmania
Application: Potable Water
Timeframe: 3 months
Concept was engaged to build 20 specially engineered modular Concept Tanks™ as part of Australia’s first onshore salmon nursery.
The $43.7M Tasmanain facility enabled the aquaculture company to grow salmon larger on the land before transferring them to the ocean.
The Concept Tanks™ ranged in size from 250,000 litres to 1.1 megalitres. These tanks served as a range of grading, grow, water storage and dewatering tanks.
The project utilised a Concept Tank™ system, where its modular design provided high-quality, precast concrete panels manufactured off-site to allow seamless construction.
